Description
Tweeddale Grain of Truth is a limited edition single grain Scotch whisky from The Tweeddale, a brand whose story begins in 1820, when brothers John and Andrew Davidson set up as brewers and wine and spirits merchants in Coldstream in the Scottish Borders. Richard Day joined the business in 1895, learned the art of blending and recorded his recipes in a cellar book.
His great-grandson Alasdair Day inherited that cellar book and revived The Tweeddale in 2010. Grain of Truth shows a different side of the brand, focusing on a single grain whisky rather than the blend for which Tweeddale was first known.
Single grain whiskies tend to be lighter and sweeter than most single malts, which makes this an interesting bottle for anyone exploring the wider range of Scotch styles.
Enjoy it neat, over ice or in a highball. Tweeddale Grain of Truth is available from Decanter Liquor with delivery across South Africa.
