Description
Glenmorangie was one of the pioneers of extra maturation, the practice of moving a matured whisky into a second, characterful cask to add a new layer of flavour. Quinta Ruban is its port expression, named after the Portuguese word for a wine estate and the Gaelic word for ruby. The spirit, distilled in the tallest stills in Scotland at Tain, first matures in American oak bourbon casks for a decade before spending its final years in port pipes selected from the quintas of the Douro valley.

- Finish: Long, fruity and gently sweet.
Serve it neat or over a large ice cube, and try it with dark chocolate. A fine example of what port wood brings to a Highland malt, available from Decanter Liquor with delivery across South Africa.
