From the masterful hands of industry icon Billy Walker, the 2022 release of GlenAllachie’s Cuvée Cask is a testament to expert wood management. This 9 Year Old Speyside Single Malt began its journey in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels before being finished in a bespoke ‘Cuvée’ of European oak red wine barriques. The complex finish draws character from French Languedoc and two Premier Cru Classé Bordeaux chateaux, alongside Italian Valpolicella casks, resulting in a rich, 700ml, non-chill filtered whisky at 48% ABV. It is one of the most distinctive choices of premium whisky in South Africa. Best enjoyed neat to appreciate its layered character.
