Description
This 12 year old is part of The Balvenie 1931 Collection, a limited release named after the year the distillery’s malt floor opened. It is a single malt from Dufftown in Speyside, made by Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie.
All of the barley was malted by hand on The Balvenie’s own malting floor, a traditional step that few distilleries still carry out. The whisky was matured in refill American oak and then finished in ex-sherry European oak butts sourced from a bodega in Jerez, Spain. It is bottled at 47.5% ABV.
