Aberlour 14 Year Old Double Cask Matured is an award-winning expression from one of Speyside’s most beloved distilleries. Created by Master Distiller Graeme Cruickshank, this single malt took a Gold medal at the IWSC 2024.
The whisky undergoes a careful double cask maturation, combining hand-selected Oloroso sherry casks with a generous proportion of first-fill American oak casks. This dual cask influence creates a beautifully layered spirit with fruity sweetness and a creamy, complex finish.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Sweet vanilla and ripe cherry, well balanced
- Palate: Soft caramel, blackcurrant jam and subtle spice
- Finish: Long, sweet and well balanced
